Model History and Information: The KF-5E was the single-seat F-5E Tiger II assembled under licence in South Korea by Korean Air, which built KF-5E and KF-5F aircraft between 1982 and 1986. The Republic of Korea Air Force had first received F-5Es in 1974, and the locally produced machines carried the name Jegongho.
