Product Dimensions: 8.56 x 4.49 x 2.46 in.
Model History and Information: The Nesher was Israel Aircraft Industries' domestically built counterpart to the Dassault Mirage 5, produced after France embargoed arms deliveries to Israel in 1969 and withheld fifty aircraft that had already been ordered. The type entered service in 1973 and equipped five Israeli Air Force squadrons. No. 113 Squadron had been established at Hatzor in 1955 as the second jet squadron in the air force, flew the Nesher from 1973 and converted to the improved IAI Kfir from 1976. The Kfir entered service in 1975 and progressively replaced the Nesher, many of which were subsequently sold abroad. The named serial, unit, date and finish on this model identify the individual historical subject represented: IAI Nesher 561, 113 sqn., Hatzor AFB, 1975.
