Model History and Information: The Shenyang J-11 is a single-seat, twin-engine air superiority fighter built by the Shenyang Aircraft Corporation as a licensed development of the Su-27SK. The J-11A represents a later production batch incorporating limited Chinese avionics upgrades over the baseline Flanker. As a heavyweight fighter with long range and a large weapons capacity, it is well suited to air-defence and escort work with the People's Liberation Army Air Force. Falcon Strike is a bilateral air-combat exercise between the PLAAF and the Royal Thai Air Force, with an edition held at Korat Royal Thai Air Force Base in 2015 involving Chinese fighters training alongside Thai units. Aircraft 11230 carries the exercise's markings.
