Model History and Information: The Shenyang J-16 is a two-seat multirole strike fighter developed in China from the Flanker family, with an active electronically scanned array radar, modern avionics and a wide range of domestic air-to-air and air-to-ground weapons. It entered service with the People's Liberation Army Air Force in the mid-2010s and has become one of its most important combat aircraft, equipping brigades across several theater commands.
