Model History and Information: The International LoneStar made its public debut at the 2008 Chicago Auto Show, where Navistar introduced it as the flagship of the International brand, positioned above the LT. International described the truck as an Advanced Classic, a Class 8 highway truck in which technology, styling and aerodynamics converge in pursuit of fuel efficiency. Its grille and hood drew on the late-1930s International Harvester D-Series, down to the bullet-shaped headlight and the V-shape at the bottom of the grille, and the truck uses a set-forward front axle with an extended hoodline. In its 1:50 Transport Series, Diecast Masters offered the LoneStar sleeper tandem tractor, and this version is finished in white with chrome exhaust stacks and tandem drive axles.
