Model History and Information: The S 210 estate, marketed by Mercedes-Benz as the T-Modell, was introduced in 1996, a year after the 210 series saloon. Load volume was 600 litres to the height of the load cover and 1,975 litres with the rear seat folded and loaded to the roof. The 1996 estate range began with the E 200 T, E 230 T, E 420 T and E 290 Turbodiesel T. The August 1999 facelift, which replaced or modified more than 1,800 components, also revised the estate tailgate and roof rails. Estate production totalled 279,238 vehicles.
