Model History and Information: The Messerschmitt Me 410 Hornisse was a twin-engine development of the Me 210 used as a fighter, light bomber and reconnaissance aircraft during the Second World War. Its use as a heavy fighter placed it against Allied bomber formations, while German units also experimented with heavier weapons. Hauptmann Eduard Tratt briefly commanded Erprobungskommando 25 in 1943, where Me 410s were used in weapons trials. From September 1943 he commanded the Me 410-equipped II./ZG 26. Tratt was killed in action on 22 February 1944.
