Model History and Information: The Mirage 2000-5F is the French Air and Space Force's air-defense upgrade of the Mirage 2000, fitted with the RDY radar and MICA missiles. On 6 June 2024 France announced it would transfer examples to Ukraine; the first aircraft arrived on 6 February 2025, flown by Ukrainian pilots trained in France. Before transfer the jets were modified at Cazaux, gaining air-to-ground and enhanced electronic-warfare capability. Reporting indicates integration of the SCALP-EG stand-off cruise missile, already used by Ukraine, alongside AASM Hammer guided bombs.
