Product Dimensions: 6.30 x 6.30 x 2.13 in.
Model History and Information: North American's F-86 Sabre was a swept-wing jet fighter used by the U.S. Air Force against MiG-15s in Korea. The F-86E, introduced after the initial A variant, gained an all-moving horizontal tail that improved manoeuvrability at combat speeds. Major William T. Whisner Jr. commanded the 25th Fighter-Interceptor Squadron of the 51st Fighter-Interceptor Wing. On 23 February 1952, he destroyed a MiG and became the wing's first jet ace. A veteran of the Second World War, Whisner was among the American airmen credited as aces in both conflicts.
