Model History and Information: The 25th Fighter Squadron, known as the 'Assam Draggins', served with the 51st Fighter Group in the China-Burma-India theater, flying the P-40 in defense of the airlift route over the Hump and in support of ground operations in Burma and China under the Fourteenth Air Force. The P-40N was the most numerous version of the Warhawk; it was lightened and fitted with an improved Allison engine, and it remained in front-line use in the CBI theater until the final year of the war.
