Pantsir-S1 Russian Air Defense Weapon System, Tri-Colour Camouflage (1:72 Scale)
Model History and Information: The Pantsir combines two twin-barrelled 30 mm cannon with twelve surface-to-air missiles on one vehicle, so a single system can engage a target with missiles at longer range and with guns when it gets close. KBP of Tula began the design in 1989 to succeed the tracked Tunguska; a prototype was ready in 1994, development stalled with the economic collapse of the 1990s, and it was funding from the launch export customer in 2000 that carried it to completion. Russian ground forces adopted it in November 2012, usually mounted on an eight-wheeled truck chassis.
