Model History and Information: Introduced in November 2018 and produced from 2019, the 992 is the eighth generation of Porsche's rear-engined sports car. It retains the marque's signature silhouette while adopting a wider body, a full-width rear light bar, and largely aluminium construction. Power comes from twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre flat-six engines driving the rear or all four wheels. The updated second phase, launched in 2024, introduced the GTS grade's T-Hybrid system: a 3.6-litre turbocharged flat-six paired with an electric motor and a compact lithium-ion battery, the first hybrid production version of the line. GTS models are offered in coupe, cabriolet, and Targa forms, with all-wheel drive on the Carrera 4 GTS.
