Model History and Information: Introduced in 2013, the 918 Spyder was Porsche's first hybrid hypercar, pairing a naturally aspirated 4.6-litre V8 with two electric motors for a combined 652 kW (875 hp). One electric motor drives the front axle together with the engine and rear motor, giving full-time all-wheel drive. The lightweight two-seat structure is built almost entirely from carbon fibre, and the car can run on electric power alone for a short distance from its plug-in battery. Porsche built exactly 918 examples between September 2013 and June 2015, reaching 100 km/h in 2.6 seconds and a top speed of 345 km/h.
