Model History and Information: The single-seat Rafale C equips France's air arm in the multirole mission. Escadron de Chasse 3/30 'Lorraine', based at Mont-de-Marsan, is a member of the NATO Tiger Association, whose squadrons traditionally wear tiger-themed markings. For the NATO Tiger Meet held at Mont-de-Marsan from 13 to 24 May 2019, the unit applied a dramatic all-black 'Dark Tiger' scheme to one of its Rafale C aircraft. Widely photographed, the jet drew top honours at the event. The Lorraine squadron carries forward the heritage of the Free French 'Lorraine' formation of the Second World War.
