1:18 BUGATTI TYPE 57 SC ATLANTIC – BLACK – 1937
Product Dimensions: 8.38 x 3.85 x 2.95 in.
Model History and Information: The Type 57 SC Atlantic is one of the rarest Bugattis: only four were built, on the supercharged (SC) version of the Type 57 chassis. It was designed by Jean Bugatti, Ettore Bugatti's son, developing the flowing lines of his 1935 Aerolithe concept, and is best known for the riveted dorsal seam that runs the length of the body, originally a construction method for its lightweight Elektron magnesium-alloy panels that Jean Bugatti kept as a styling feature on the later aluminium-bodied cars. Its 3.3-litre supercharged straight-eight produced around 200 hp, enough for a top speed of about 135 mph, exceptional for a 1937 road car.
