Model History and Information: The Su-27SK was an export-oriented development of the Flanker family and became one of the routes by which the design entered Chinese service. Peace Mission exercises are multinational drills connected with the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation. This PLAAF Su-27SK, marked for the 2018 Chelyabinsk exercise, reflects both the international exercise setting and the long Chinese relationship with Flanker-derived aircraft. Peace Mission exercises, held periodically since 2005, bring together Shanghai Cooperation Organisation member states for joint counter-terrorism and combined-arms training.
