Model History and Information: The T-50-2, bort number 052, was the second flying prototype of Sukhoi's T-50 fifth-generation fighter, which became the Su-57. It made its first flight on 3 March 2011 from Komsomolsk-on-Amur, flown by test pilot Sergey Bogdan, just over a year after the first prototype took to the air on 29 January 2010. The aircraft was later used as an engine testbed, including for the AL-51F-1, known as izdeliye 30, whose first flight was on 5 December 2017. In December 2024 it was photographed with a flat thrust-vectoring nozzle on its left engine, an alternative to the round nozzles of the standard AL-41F-1 engines.
