Model History and Information: The M1134 is the anti-tank variant of the eight-wheeled Stryker family, sharing the same wheeled chassis as the Army's other Stryker variants. Fielded with Stryker Brigade Combat Teams from the early 2000s, it serves as the primary tank-destroyer system within those units, engaging armor beyond the range of the crew's own weapons. Its twin-tube launcher, raised above the roofline on an elevating mast at the rear of the hull, fires the BGM-71 TOW-2 guided missile, which the Army rates as effective against armored targets out to about 4 kilometers, with the upgraded TOW launcher on later production pushing that to more than 4.5 kilometers. The M1134 deployed with Stryker units during the Iraq War and the war in Afghanistan, providing overwatch and long-range anti-armor fire for infantry formations that lack a tank's built-in protection.
