US M1296 Stryker ICV Dragoon 2nd Cav. Germany 2020
Product Dimensions: 3.80 x 1.49 x 1.44 in.
Model History and Information: This Dragon Armor edition is identified as US M1296 Stryker ICV Dragoon 2nd Cav. Germany 2020. Its finish and unit caption distinguish the collectible; the account below addresses the documented history of the real vehicle type. The Dragoon came out of an urgent request from the 2nd Cavalry Regiment, the American unit permanently stationed in Germany, which wanted more firepower than the .50 calibre machine gun its Strykers carried. Congress provided emergency funding in 2015, the first prototype was delivered for testing in October 2016, and the first vehicles reached the regiment in December 2017. The 30 mm autocannon sits in an unmanned remote turret and can engage out to about three thousand metres. Eighty-one were fielded, half the rifle and scout platoon vehicles in the regiment.
