Model History and Information: This model reproduces the Volkswagen T5 Transporter, the fifth generation of VW's Transporter van line, built in Hanover, Germany, from 2003 to 2015 in panel-van, pickup, crew-cab, and passenger-carrying Caravelle and Multivan forms. The T5 replaced the T4 generation and was offered with front-wheel or 4motion all-wheel drive, in short- or long-wheelbase form. This replica reproduces the type's boxy panel-van body, with the true-to-original wheel rims, front headlight strip, and large rear tailgate that were part of the full-size vehicle's styling, and it is fitted with a tow hitch like the van's optional factory trailer coupling.
